Migratory and Gamebird Hunting at Atterbury-Muscatatuck

While not as numerous, there are opportunities for migratory and game bird hunting on Atterbury-Muscatatuck. Our diverse landscape offers the potential for several species to be harvested including mourning dove, woodcock, snipe, sora, pheasant, and quail. While work to increase hunting opportunities for these specific species has not been a focus, habitat restoration and improvement projects will have a positive impact on the ability of our ecosystem to support these game types.
