Atterbury-Muscatatuck Permits
NO CASH OR CHECKS ALLOWED
All hunters and trappers must have a valid hunting license in accordance with Indiana state law. Hunters and trappers should reference the Indiana Hunting and Trapping Guide for specific licensing requirements.
VALIDATIONS:
ID Validation: All individuals wishing to access the iSportsman system must validate their account by provided the required documentation for their customer type. This validation must be updated annually on or after 01 June.
Safety Brief Validation: All participants must watch the Safety Brief Video, which can be found by logging into your iSportsman account under the "My Safety Briefs" tab, that cooresponds to the permit you are wishing to acquire and fully answer the quiz questions to earn their Safety Brief Validation. This validation must be updated annually on or after 01 June.

Hunter's Education Validation: Those wishing to hunt or trap on Atterbury-Muscatatuck must present proof of a valid state-sponsored Hunter's Education Course. This is a firm requirement. No one is grandfathered. NO EXCEPTIONS. Once entered this validation will not have to be renewed.
Drawn Hunt Validations: Any participants chosen for a special draw hunt will receive the proper validations from Camp Atterbury iSportsman administration. These validations are only valid for the drawn hunt.
PERMIT SALES:
Atterbury-Muscatatuck iSportsman permits will run from June 1st through May 31st of the following year. Before any other permits may be purchased, a participant must first purchase an annual Access Pass. An Access Pass is NOT REQUIRED prior to entering a lottery. Any available permits will show up to purchase once you have the Access Pass, and any other required validations. If you have any questions about how to sign up for iSportsman or purchase permits, please see the information at the bottom of the page or contact the Division of Environmental Management. All sales of Atterbury-Muscatatuck permits are final, and no refunds or transfers can be offered.
Why are there fees?
By law, the Sikes Act (16 U.S.C. 670(b)) and the Sikes Act Improvement Act (SAIA) of 1997, allow installations to establish fees for hunting, fishing, and trapping. These fees must be used for fish and wildlife related expenses on the installation.
Additionally, per DoD Instruction 4715.03 and 32 Code of Federal Regulation part 190, collected fees are to be used on the installation from which they were collected specifically for the protection, conservation, and management of fish and wildlife. This includes habitat restoration projects, biological staff and support costs, and related activities.
This means that the money you pay is staying here at Atterbury-Muscatatuck and is used to help support the program. Current fee revenue helps cover the cost of the deploying the iSportsman platform. As the program grows, additional revenue will be able to be used to help support other parts of the fish and wildlife program at Atterbury-Muscatatuck.
